Simple, honest pricing

Two ways to watch. Start free.

Know the park (or three) you want? Watch them free. Flexible on which park, as long as it’s within range of where you’re headed? The Roam Region Pass scans a whole area at once — and raises your park-watch allowance from 3 to 10 while it’s active. Everything else — how often we check and where — is the same for everyone: Roam works everywhere a free park watch does (see every region).

Where we watch: British Columbia · Washington · Ontario (+ conservation areas) · Manitoba · Nova Scotia · Yukon · Northwest Territories · Parks Canada · New Brunswick · Newfoundland and Labrador · Saskatchewan · Michigan · Wisconsin — with more on the way.

We re-check for openings around the clock — about once a minute for most operators, and every two to five minutes for a few that ask us to poll more gently — the same for everyone, free or paid. Paying doesn’t buy a faster check or priority in line; it buys breadth (Roam watches a whole region instead of one park). How fast we spot an opening depends on how often we check a park, not on who you are — so we won’t sell you “faster.”

Questions about Roam

Can I buy Roam right now?

Yes. Roam is on sale — a one-time $39 USD payment, good for a full year from the day you buy, with no auto-renew and no subscription.

You see what you’re buying first: go to the region preview, pick a place, a range and your dates, and we’ll show you the real list of parks Roam would watch — with an honest count of the ones we can’t place. Uncheck any you don’t want, then buy; the pass watches exactly the parks you kept. Payment is handled by Stripe — we never see your card number.

What if I watch for a year and never get an alert? Can I get a refund?

Straight answer: the pass buys the watching, not an outcome. Nobody can promise that a particular campsite will be cancelled, and we won’t pretend otherwise — so purchases are generally non-refundable.

That’s the default, not the end of it. If your scan didn’t actually run the way we said it would, that’s on us and we refund it in full. And if you’re simply not satisfied, write to us anyway — our Terms commit us to making it right, and we would rather hear from you than keep money you feel bad about. Email support@campingsorted.com, tell us the region and dates, and we’ll check whether the scan ran and what it saw. This sits on top of any refund or cancellation rights your local consumer-protection law gives you, which we don’t override.

Which regions does Roam cover?

Roam scans: British Columbia, Washington, Ontario (including conservation areas), Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Parks Canada, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Saskatchewan, Michigan, and Wisconsin — every region we watch.

Roam places parks by their map coordinates, and a small number of individual parks in any region are still missing one — those can’t be placed in a distance scan, so they won’t appear in a region’s results. The region preview always shows you the honest count before you buy, and any park it can’t place you can still watch directly for free on the explore map.

What does the Roam pass actually give me?

You pick a place, a radius (say, 160 km — about 100 miles — around Vancouver), and your travel dates. Roam watches every park in that area at once — not just a handful you named. The moment any site in range opens up and matches your filters, you get an alert. One payment covers multiple trips across a full year. You book through the park’s own site, same as always.

How long does the Roam pass last?

A full 12 months from the day you buy — rolling from your purchase date, not from any fixed calendar date. Buy in October and you’re covered through next October. That means a mid- or late-season buyer gets a full year, not a truncated one. Covers as many trips as you set up alerts for within that window. After the year, the pass simply stops — no auto-renew, no surprise charge.

Is it a subscription? Will I be charged again?

No — it is a one-time payment, full stop. We will never automatically charge you again. When the year is up, your pass simply expires. If you want to keep scanning after that, you’d buy a new pass — but that’s entirely your call. No fine print, no “cancel before the renewal date.”

What currency will I be charged in?

US visitors pay $39 USD; Canadian visitors pay $49 CAD — priced in Canadian dollars, so no foreign-transaction fee shows up on your statement. We default to your local currency based on where you are; you can switch anytime with the region control (in the header, or the picker beside the price on a phone). The price shown at checkout is exactly what you’ll be charged.

What’s the difference between Free and Roam?

Mainly breadth. Free watches up to three parks you name. Roam watches every park in an area, so you don’t have to guess which specific park will have a cancellation — up to three region scans running at once.

There is also a capacity side effect worth stating plainly: while your Roam pass is active, your allowance for ordinary named-park watches goes from 3 to 10. We never sell a faster check or priority in line — the check frequency is identical.

Alerts today reach a Roam pass by email. Free watches can also use browser push and free SMS; we’re wiring those up for Roam so you can pick them at checkout. We are not charging for the channel — SMS is free on every tier and always will be.

Coverage is not a difference. Roam reaches every region a free park watch does — see which regions Roam covers.

Questions before you buy?

Email support@campingsorted.com. Ask anything, including “is this worth it for my trip?” — we aim to reply within one business day.

Something wrong with a charge?

Email support@campingsorted.com with the date and amount. Your card statement and your Stripe receipt both say CampingSorted — if you see anything else, tell us straight away.

How support actually works

Email only — there is no phone line and we would rather say so than publish a number nobody answers. See the help page for the common questions.
